Description

LEDWI® is the premiere MIL-SPEC sensor on the market today with almost 1000 installed. Look at the weather observation system in any major airport in the US and you will find the LEDWI®. It is the only present weather sensor selected for the ASOS Program and meets NWS Spec. No.S100-SP001. LEDWI® was also the first present weather sensor to meet the requirements of FAA AWOS Advisory Circular No. 150/5220-16A. They report precipitation occurrence, precipitation type, precipitation intensity and precipitation accumulation in WMO or NWS weather codes.

The LEDWI® is our top-of-the-line weather instrument with regard to durability and reliability. These sensors are designed to the specifications and demands of the National Weather Service to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The ASOS program's main purpose is to provide remote sensor weather information for airport and air transportation safety. If pilots and air traffic controllers rely on the LEDWI®, so should you.

LEDWI® is the obvious choice when a full featured present weather sensor is required. LEDWI® clearly demonstrated it's capability when it was chosen to help upgrade weather observations at over 1000 U.S. airports and it will continue to be the best present weather sensor available into the 21st century!
